Two-factor authentication is a method of identifying a user by requesting two different types of authentication data. This method ensures two-tier and, therefore, more effective protection of the account from unauthorized access.
After enabling this function, you will be requested to provide a pin code generated by the Google Authenticator application in addition to your username and password to log in. The app works without the Internet connection and generates six-digit pin codes every 30 seconds.
Step-by-step instructions for enabling two-factor authentication.
1. To set up two-factor authentication, select the relevant option in the Client Area (tab "Account Settings >> Two-Factor authentication").
2. Download the Google Authenticator application (or another analogous app) to your device. Scan the QR-code via this application or type the code colored red and confirm the activation by the six-digit code generated by Google Authenticator.
3. After this step, activation of two-factor authentication will be completed, and each time you log in to the Client Area, in addition to the password, you will be required to provide a 6-digit code from the Google Authenticator app.
4. To disable two-factor authentication, you must also enter a pin code from Google Authenticator. If the device was lost or broken, you can deactivate it by using a secret code (the link "No access to Google Authenticator?" when you request a pin code). This code is sent to clients in an email after the activation of the service.
